• I am Miguel Ángel González Arias (AKA GAMA), and I am from Mexico.

• I am a biologist (Faculty of Sciences, UNAM) and hold a Master’s degree in Biochemical Sciences (Biotechnology Institute, UNAM), specialized in bioinformatics.

• I have experience in: metagenomics, microbial ecology, genome mining, phylogenomics, protein science, protein design, high-performance computing, data science and visualization, machine learning and deep learning, and language models.

• Other interests: computing and hardware, gastronomy, economics and markets, musical culture (especially death metal and neoclassical piano), and cosmic horror.
